Organ of Habit

Organ of Habit fits in a stocking. Organ of Habit fits in your life. Organ of Habit is just the thing for the 5th night of Channukah. Organ of Habit is perfect for that cousin who's the ponderous sort. Organ of Habit might make you friends. Organ of Habit will conjure happy memories, and sad ones too. But in a sweet, "'tis a gentle luxury to weep" kind of way. And when CD technology is obsolete, you can hang Organ of Habit from the tree by your garden and it will keep the birds away.  Sometimes.

The album is a ferociously tender attempt to bridge mind and matter, blending smoky vocals with luminous finger work on flamenco and classical guitars, as well as the cuatro. Some of its tracks were recorded by the talented Mr Ryan Sayward in Virginia. Others were recorded in Chicago at BobDog Studios by the one and only Bill Kavanaugh, who also added some delicious basslines and mastering know-how. Paula Pryce contributed her shimmering KateBushy vocals on the album's brutally up-tempo number, "Break." Refined in dark corners and on bright stages in the US, the Philippines, New Zealand, Spain and the UK, this music comes from...well...the heart.
